About the VOLCANIC Project
Transformative Education
A collaborative initiative for educational innovation
The VOLCANIC project is a large-scale national collaborative effort, co-funded by the Erasmus+ program of the European Union. It aims for educational transformation by strengthening the capacities of education stakeholders (higher education personnel and K6-K12 teachers) to master effective pedagogies for integrating Computational Thinking (CT) and Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) into their teaching.
The Tamkine Foundation plays a specific and crucial role in this project, particularly concerning national awareness, localized training, and strengthening digital capacities on the ground.
Tamkine's National Outreach Approach
The Tamkine Foundation's approach to national outreach is based on fundamental pillars, illustrated below:
Proximity Education
Intervening directly within communities to understand and respond to local needs.
Equity of Access
Ensuring that everyone, especially in remote regions, has access to quality educational opportunities.
Evolving Digital Empowerment
Providing the necessary skills and tools for sustainable digital integration in education.
Hybrid and Modular Learning Paths
Offering flexible training adapted to the contexts of teachers and students.
Our goal is to reach teachers and students on-site as well as through hybrid models, ensuring relevant and impactful training.
